LG Announces A Smart Flip Phone 'Wine'.


BANGALORE: The Korean electronics manufacturer LG is launching a new flip phone, the Wine smart. The smart phone from the company is the first launch after 7 years which is specifically targeted for the elderly users. As of now there is no word on the pricing details as yet and is launched in the Korean markets, as compiled by the NDTV gadgets.

The Wine Smartphone features a 3.5-inch IPS touch screen display with a resolution of 320x480 pixels. It runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat version with the company's own UI on the OS. The flip phone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with a 1GB of RAM. There is 4GB of inbuilt storage memory with an expandable memory support via microSD card.

On the camera front, the LG flip phone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a 0.3-megapixel front camera. There is a 1700mAh removable battery on it. Connectivity features on the Wine Smart include LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and FM radio. Another notable feature is the Safe Keeper feature. The feature automatically sends information to numbers which are assigned by the user if the phone is not used for a period of time and it is mainly developed to keep a tab on the elderly users. The phone will be available in black and white colors.
