LCD TVs Price Falling


Bangalore: The era of OLED TV has started to make the LCD market in more confusion and uncertainty. Out there in the market, the Tablets, iPads, Google TV have come up with new technology and features that produce live pictures and attracts the users more to it than LCDs.

In this fast moving world of technology which is changing and getting advanced day by day, the existing technology is facing the hit. For the first time in U.S. bigger LCD TVs has become economical to afford by the downfall of the TV market, reveals in Quarterly TV Cost and Price Forecast Model study, a market research by NPD Display Search in 2011.

It has been a difficult year for many TV manufacturers and retailers as televisions are becoming cheap making the profits drop. A very low demand and an excess production of TV is the key factor for the dramatic reduction of the price. Even though the reduction in price has become a challenge for TV makers, there is a positive reaction by consumers towards low cost LCD TV.

Television makers has already introduced new technologies like LED black light TV, Full HD or high frame rate, internet browsing with social network integrated and 3D TVs to boost TV demands but the price sensitive consumers North American are unwilling to pay higher costs for high-end features. There is a down rate of over 30 percent in quarter 3 of 2011 in the sales of 55 inch 3D premium LCD TV which reveals the fact that consumers are ready to trade off the features when compared to size.

Meanwhile, Google and Apple are offering new features to their TV and even Microsoft Xbox is coming with live TV which gives the experience of high-end gaming and live TV experience. Well it will be too soon to say whether TVs of these tech giants will succeed or not.
