Karbonn launches KitKat-powered Titanium S99 at Rs 5,990


BANGALORE: Following domestic vendors like Micromax, Lava, and iBerry, the Indian handset brand Karbonn has gone the economical way by launching a new low-end Android Smartphone, the Titanium S99, at a price point of 5,990. Along with that the phone also runs on the newly developed KitKat operating system which is the most precise and refined Android operating system ever, reports NDTV

The Karbonn Titanium S99 features a 4-inch IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and backed by a 512 MB RAM. It comes with 4GB internal memory, expandable up to 32GB via microSD and a 1,400mAh battery. The Smartphone sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 0.3-megapixel front camera.

The dual- SIM device offers a wide range of networking alternatives and services like 3G, Wi-Fi, G-Sensor, Bluetooth with A2DP and GPS navigation and various standard features. It is also available in black and white colors with its free additional protective silicon case.

It provides all-in-one solution to user's communication needs by providing upgraded Hangouts App supported with improved SMS & MMS integration", said Shashin Devsare, executive Director of Karbonn.

Being a low-end phone, the Titanium S99 is devised to compete with the likes of Motorola Moto E, Micromax Unite 2, Lava Iris X1, Nokia X, Gionee Pioneer P3, among others in its category.
