Is Google Working On A 5.9-Inch Phablet With Fingerprint Sensor?

BANGALORE: The Search engine giant, Google might launch a Phablet in November that has a 5.9-inch screen with a fingerprint sensor. The company is apparently working with Motorola on the device and there is no information on what it is going to be called yet, reports the Times of India.

According to the reports by the Android police, an unnamed source shared the information to them and there is a screen shot of it from the Google’s issue tracker for developers showing an indication to the phablet.

The issue is supposedly a bug in the Android L programme. This programme only works with Nexus devices, which is why the Android police believes this could be valid information. The android blog also report that the new phablet will be running on the same Kernel as the current versions Nexus phones and tablets. A Kernel is like a main component on the operating system that supervises the way the hardware and software connects with each other.

However, the Google’s new phablet being just one inch smaller than the tablets like the Nexus 7, the competitors for it would be two phones from Samsung with screen sizes 5.8 and 6.3 and the LG G Pro 2.
