Huawei's Samsung Rival, Ascend Mate Listed Online For 28,990

Bangalore: Huawei, the Chinese tech giant who is all set to unveil the world’s thinnest Smartphone is launching its 6.1 screen phablet in the country. Dubbed as Ascend Mate, the device is already listed in Flipkart for preorders.

Packing more power than Samsung’s recent launches into the phablet segment, Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3, Ascend Mate has a quad-core 1.5GHz processor with 2GB of RAM. At 4,050 mAh, the battery is also more powerful than Samsung’s duo. The device has an 8 MP autofocus rear shooter and a 1MP front shooter for video calls. At 28,990, the device will surely give Samsung phablets a run for money.

The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean device was unveiled at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Even though the device is not yet officially launched in the country, we can hope the “out of stock” icon at online retailers are about to change within couple of days.
