Huawei Unveils Low-Cost Android Tablet

Bangalore: Huawei entered the tablet market last year with MediaPad tablet and now the company has come up with low cost tablet called MediaPad Lite. The MediaPad Lite is the company’s first low cost tablet to hit the Indian market at a retail price of 13,700.

The Huawei MediaPad Lite sports a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen display with multi-touch system at a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It is powered with Cortex A8 processor at 1.2 GHz clock speed, a 600 MHz graphic processor unit, 1 GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system (upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean).

It comes with 4 GB of internal storage, a microSD card to expand memory up to 32GB and has unibody design. The tablet also features integrated 3G with calling capabilities but misses the earpiece unit, to call you have to connect wired or wireless headset or call using loudspeaker. In terms of connectivity it comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and has a 4100 mAh battery.
