HoloLens Is The 'New Cool' And Treads Past Apple Watch

BENGALURU: HoloLens is the Show Stopper of the week. This phenomenal device released by Microsoft excited the world around and successfully managed  in suppressing the hype about Apple Watch. HoloLens is a wearable just like Google Glass but does something beyond superimposing web images. When wearing the goggles, one can walk around and interact with virtual objects without having to connect to a computer or a phone. And you could have as many virtual "screens" as you want floating around your environment interacting with them with a wave of the hand or a voice command.

San Jose Mercury news says that Apple Watch is great but not a game changer like that of HoloLens. Microsoft is making a big bet that their new Windows 10 will help it regain ground the company has lost to the mobile computing boom—so it is more of a comeback step. Microsoft is shooting for the fences and is about to hit the target soon. For Microsoft the biggest accomplishment would be that they surpassed the tech giant—Apple.

HoloLens is a vision-laden product from the same group of imaginative Microsoft engineers that came up with Kinect, the Xbox accessory that recognizes you when you enter a room and lets you control the game console with gestures or voice. For a fact that the team invested five years in making the device HoloLens is regarded as the most ambitious project in Microsoft's 40-year history.

However, it is too early to decide whether this giant leap taken by Microsoft is a right move or not. So far the HoloLens is the first of a kind invention that rocked the industry.
