HTC Takes Potshots At Nokia, iPhone Cameras


Bangalore: Taking potshots at rivals has become a daily commodity in tech world, be it Microsoft’s recent dig on Google, asking users to ditch the search engine in favor of their own Bing; or of Nokia proclaiming on its official twitter account how Lumia series are better options for professionals over BlackBerry 10. The recent addition to this list is HTC taking potshots on both Nokia and iPhone over who’s the real pioneer in mobile camera technology through its infographics that charts history of cameras.

The infographics begins with the title “From Copper Sheets To Camera Phones: A History Of Photography.” It says that Daguerreotype image that was unveiled by Louis-Jacques-Mande Deguerra in 1839 as the first form of photography, then the teaser tracks the evolution of camera from films to going digital to being part of mobiles.

The infographics says “In 2006, pixel numbers for camera phones are increasing quickly” and like a phrase following after comma it says HTC as the first company to come up with 8MP camera phone, HTC Droid, and says iPhone 4S with 8MP been a year late to claim to be incredible in this aspect.
