HTC (Proto) Desire X to Be Launched at IFA 2012


Bangalore: In the past there were leaked images of HTC’s mid range smartphone which was doing the rounds. The handset from HTC was named HTC Proto. The images of the same device have been spotted yet again but this time with a different name.

The HTC Proto is now known as HTC Desire X. A post on a Taiwanese forum revealed this information along with the specifications of the device which are similar to the previous leaked specifications.

The HTC Desire X will have a 4 inch WVGA Super LCD display touch screen. The smartphone would function on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and it also has HTC Sense 4. It would be powered by a 1 GHz dual core Qualcomm processor. The phone will have 768 MB RAM. The smartphone comes with 4 GB internal memory along with a slot for the microSD card for expandable memory up to 32 GB.

The smartphone comes with a 5 mega pixel rear camera and is powered by a 1650 mAh battery. Like HTC One X, the Desire X will also have Beats Audio integration.

The device is expected to be released at the IFA 2012 that will begin on August 31, 2012 in Berlin, Germany and it would reach the market in the month of September 2012. The price of the handset is not known yet.
