HTC Making a 5-inch Nexus 5 Phablet

Bangalore: It looks like HTC is making Google’s next Nexus smartphone. A rumored 5-inch phablet by HTC will be the Google’s latest pure android handset states GSMArena.com with one of it's very reliable source within HTC.

The device will be running on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 with an improved Butter project with more options to lock screen and some additional minor improvements. In terms of specifications the report mentioned that the upcoming handset will have a 1080p full HD screen, 64GB of internal memoryand a large 2,500mAh battery to power the device. It will also have a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset, 12-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel secondary cameras.

In the past it is seen that Google-branded handsets like the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, and Nexus 7 arrive alongside latest Android updates. It is been expected that the next Nexus phone will go hand-in-hand with the launch of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, rather than going with Jelly Bean.
