HTC Launches One X+ With Android 4.1, Quad-Core Chip


Bangalore: HTC has officially launched their smartphone - HTC One X+ which was subjected to a lot of rumors. HTC One X+ is the successor of the company’s super hit smartphone One X and with its upgrades, One X+ promises to be bigger and better than its predecessor.

The new smartphone comes with a gigantic 4.7 inch display which compares to its competitors like Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note and LG Optimus 4X HD.  HTC One X+ is powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 AP37 processor and it comes with internal memory storage of 64 GB. The new One X+ will function on the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system along with HTC’s Sense 4+.                                                                                       

The successor of One X comes with a bigger 2100 mAh battery and this means that it offers the users around 50 percent more talk time when compared to its predecessor. The front facing camera has also been upgraded. The 8 mega pixel rear camera stays the same like the one in One X.

"We are taking the HTC One X to a new level with the introduction of the new HTC One X+," said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. "Our customers will have super-fast browsing, an even better camera and more immersive entertainment with Beats Audio."

The smartphone One X+ will be available in Europe, Asia (including India) by November 2012. HTC hasn’t said anything regarding the pricing of the smartphone.  Along with this announcement HTC also said that the promised upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for One X and One S will happen this month, October 2012.
