HTC Brings Touch Sensor In One Max, Joins Apple's League


Bangalore: HTC has added touch sensor to its latest phablet, One Max, joining Apple’s security technology introduced in iPhone 5S.

Apple’s fingerprint sensor boosts security and aid shopping while One Max’s, which is placed on the back panel, can unlock the device by just swiping your finger on the small square sensor below the camera. HTC has also enabled quick app launch, where you can make the device automatically start an app of your choice depending on the finger you use for unlocking it.

The phone was officially unveiled in Beijing yesterday, will debut in china, U.K. and Taiwan before starting its sales in U.S.

The device comes with 5.9" 1080p IPS display, and packs Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, coupled with Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Like the company’s flagship mobile, HTC One, One Max features a 4MP UltraPixel camera on its back capable but there is no optical image stabilization.

HTC One Max runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.5 UI on top. It has 16 GB inbuilt memory that can be further expanded suing microSD card. There is no Beats Audio support but the device comes with BoomSound speakers. It also packs 3,300 mAh removable battery that can deliver up to 28 hours of talk time.

HTC is also bringing special lineup of accessories for One Max, including capacitive aluminum stylus, a Power Flip Case that gives additional 1,200 mAh of battery juice, HTC Fetch accessory for easy location of the device and the recently announced BoomBass speaker.
