Google Now Gets Voice Activated Music Controls

BANGALORE: Google is apparently planning on providing its Google Now users the feature to control music with their voice on the Android devices. The company is consistently working on getting more functionality into Google Now and looks like the voice controlled music playback is its next move on the list, reports NDTV gadgets.

According to the reports by the Android police and some of its users, music playback can now be controlled with the voice commands like ‘next’ and ‘stop’ track. This feature will be very useful once the ‘Ok Google’ command is made available to all the users, where the voice commands can be detected by the phone from any screen including the lock screen mode. Presently, the users are gradually getting the update on their individual account settings.

Supposedly, Google recently updated the Play music app on the iOS devices with getting in features like non-stop music playback enabling subscribed playlist downloads and view currently downloaded music.

The reason for this update could possibly be because of the rising trend of the Android smart watches and even though these devices come with manual music controls on them, this feature would probably make it easier for its user to skip and change tracks.
