Google Nexus 5 Specs Revealed


Bangalore: Google Nexus 4 has been a hit device and many a times it ran out of stock to much despairs of Nexus fanatics.  Reports by The Verge say that Google will not restock the device anymore. But it’s not the time for disappointment, as the next generation Nexus, probably called Nexus 5, has surfaced in a benchmark test packing a punch. It may get unveiled as soon as last week of October.

Even though the specs and pictures of the device was leaked before, the recent sighting of new Nexus on benchmarking website GFXBench, adds more credibility to what the device sports.

Codenamed Hammerhead, Google Nexus 5 will run on Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 800 quad-core chipset, clocked at 2.3GHz. It currently holds the title for being most powerful mobile chip in the world. It will be complemented by Adreno 330 graphics processor. The benchmark data also shows that Nexus 5 will run on Key Lime Pie, which is now named as Android Kitkat.

The new Nexus will have 1920x1080 pixels resolution, with on-screen resolution being 1794x1080 pixels.

It is rumored that the next Nexus will be manufactured by LG, which made the exiting model. The device is said to be based on the new LG G2 Smartphone and is expected to come with 4.96-inch display, 2GB RAM and 13MP rear camera.
