Google Competing With Apple; Releases Nexus 10 Tablet and Nexus 4 Smartphone


Bangalore: Google strengthening its Nexus lineup has launched the two latest devices at the Event held on 29th October 2012. The two latest Nexus devices includes; the Nexus 10 tablet and the Nexus 4 smartphone. Google has also upgraded their Android Jelly Bean Operating System. According to a report by Cybermedia Research (CMR) Android is the leading smartphone operating system in India. With two more gadgets getting added into the Android family and the upgrade the popularity of this operating system is set to rise further.

Along with the Nexus 10 tablet Google also launched its new smartphone Nexus 4. Google has partnered with LG Electronics to make this smartphone.

The Nexus 4 smartphone boasts of a 4.7 inch screen which is larger than the recently released iPhone 5. The screen comes with a resolution of 1280 X 768 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor backed by 2 GB of RAM. The device comes with an 8 mega pixel rear camera and a 1.3 mega pixel front facing camera that allows the user to make video calls.  The smartphone comes with 8 GB internal storage. The Nexus 4 comes with connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Near Field Communication (NFC). It is powered by a 2,100 mAh Lithium polymer battery.

With both the gadgets that Google released and the changed to the Jelly Bean operating system, it is clear that they are ready to challenge and take on Apple and its products.
