Gionee P2 With Jelly Bean 4.2 Launched At 6,499

Bangalore: Gionee P2 is the Chinese Company’s latest entrant into the budget-friendly segment. The Smartphone, which is now available in India for an affordable price of 6,499 has come a long way from its predecessor P1 in terms of its Operating System. While P1 ran on 4.1 Gingerbread platform, P2 houses Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

The front panel of P2 is designed with a 4-inch touch screen, much broader than the 3.5-inch P1. The rear end has also perked up with a 5MP shooter rather than the 2MP camera in the old version. It also has an onboard webcam with VGA one sensor. Gionee P2 shows its inner strength by sporting MediaTek 6572 chipset with dual-core configuration and a clock speed of 1.3GHz with 512MB of RAM. It has an internal memory of 4GB that can be expanded up to 32GB through a microSD slot. The 1,700mAh battery acts as the power house of the Smartphone.
Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM Radio, GPS, Digital Compass, Light Sensor, Face Unlock and Game Zone.
