'Gigabyte Ultrabooks' the Best MacBook Air Rival


Bangalore: Gigabyte, a Taiwanese company has revealed two new game changing Ultrabooks which comes with Thunderbolt and Nvidia GPU and therefore they are meant to be the best competitor to the high-performing Apple MacBook Air. Gigabyte has dubbed the new devices as U2442N and V; the first one runs on a standard voltage Intel Ivy Bridge Core i5 or i7 processor and the later has an Ultra Low Voltage Ivy Bridge Core i5 or i7 processor.

Both the models comes with a new Nvidia GeForce GT640M GPU with a 2GB of dedicated graphics memory, a 14-inch screen with 1600 X 900 pixel display, Bluetooth 4.0, a webcam, 802.11n Wi-Fi, D-Sub connector, HDMI socket, four USB ports, an Ethernet port, a card reader and audio jacks. These devices are about 20.5mm and weighs 1.49Kg.

U2442N series has an optional Thunderbolt interface and will be one of the first x86 devices to sport this next generation wired connector from Intel. This device also has a backlit keypad and an easy memory access

These two powerful buddies acquire the best specification in the Ultrabook breed and will be one among the top devices in the market giving a value for money. There are not many details available about its price and arrival in the market, but rumors say that these devices will hit the stores in the second quarter of 2012.
