Galaxy Note 2 Sales Explode to 5 million in 2 Months!

Bangalore: The sales of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 reached half the number of stars in a dwarf galaxy within two months. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is currently being sold in 128 countries. In comparison its predecessor; Samsung Galaxy Note, took five months to reach the 5 million mark.

The Note 2, as usual, lives up to its predecessor’s name of phablet (a hybrid of a phone and tablet). But it comes with improvements that make it sell like hot cakes.

Firstly, the processor has been upgraded from 1.4 GHz Dual-core to 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos processor. This clearly boosts up the performance of the phone.

Now coming to the memory, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has double the RAM memory which automatically means faster loading of applications. The internal memory, however, remains the same at 16 GB. Both the gadgets have microSD slots, but Note 2 allows you to expand up to 64 GB, whereas Note allows up to 32 GB.

The sensors, camera resolution, camera flash, video recording, video telephony and other functions remain the same in both. The camera resolution is 8 megapixels, camera flash used is LED, and video recording, video telephony and digital compass are also available.

Coming to the operating system; Samsung Galaxy Note 2 runs on Jelly Bean while Note runs on Ice Cream Sandwich. The Bluetooth however is 4.0 for Note 2, while 3.0 for Note.

The height of Note 2 has increased but width and depth have decreased compared to its predecessor. That explains the 720 X 1280 pixel and 800 X 1280 pixel resolutions of Note 2 and Note respectively.

Apart from that there are the S Pen optimized features such as S Pen Experience, S Note, S Planner, E-mail with hand-writing integration, S Pen Keeper, Quick Command, Easy Clip, Photo Note, Paper Artist, Shape Match and Formula Match.

There is also Air View which allows you preview the content of an email, S Planner, image gallery, or video without having to open it. The Popup Note allows you to open an S Note instantly in the form of a pop-up window anywhere on your screen. The new gesture pad feature, called Quick Command, lets you quickly activate frequently used apps with the S Pen.
