For 13,990, Micromax's Canvas HD Is Here!

Bangalore: Micromax today launched its much awaited A116 Canvas HD Smartphone, the first phone with a quad-core processor. The phone is priced at 13, 990, and it will be sold online exclusively through the company’s official website starting from today, and handset will be delivered in 5-7 working days, reports TOI.



Canvas HD sports a 5 inch IPS screen with the resolution of 1280x720 pixels promising a good HD experience. The device runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, under the hood it packs a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, coupled with 1GB RAM. The device comes with 4GB onboard storage and supports expansion up to 32GB through a microSD card.



The device has an 8MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, and 2MP on front. Connectivity features of the device include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and microUSB 2.0. It has 2,000 mAh battery.



Canvas HD with almost similar specs and much cheaper price tag is to take on with Samsung Galaxy Grand. It also competes with other rivals like Spice Stellar Pinnacle, Karbonn S1 Titanium and Lava Iris 501, which are available at similar prices.

1: A catch with the quad core processor people may not notice...The cores of the "quad core" are 3 generations old slow A7 processor from ARM. In reality this quad core may be slower than a single core A15 based solution.

2: No need to hurry to buy it as they are taking 21 working days ( near to one month for dispatch) and no cash on delivery option. Means all money can be used for one full month & further where as another competitive mobile make of UMI X2 with less price are coming with full hd option ( 1980 x 1024) & quad-core processors so it will be best option with less price near to 12k with tentative service as on the spot return of 3/6 month approach ( in case of any defect from metro India city branches)
