Of the two released devices, the lower specced Keon is priced at $119 and it will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 1GHz processor, 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display, 3MP camera, and 4GB of internal storage, microSD support, Wi-Fi (N), and GPS, but has no secondary camera.
The Peak is slightly higher priced at $194 and sports higher specs too, it comes with dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 4.3-inch qHD display, 8 MP primary and 2MP secondary camera, 4GB of internal storage and higher capacity battery.
In order to encourage developers, Stormy Peters, head of developer engagement at Mozilla, in a blog post said, “With early access to hardware, developers can test the capabilities of Firefox OS in a real environment with a mobile network and true hardware characteristics like the accelerometer and camera that are not easily tested on the Firefox OS Simulator. Plus, new hardware is fun to play with!”
