Bangalore: Micromax A116 Canvas HD, which opened up for preorders on 14^th February, had a record sale of 9000 units in less than a day. The device after a lot of delay, disappointment and a price hike from 13, 990 to 14, 499, has started shipping finally. All those who were put on the waiting list can now rejoice.

Micromax A116 Canvas HD is now available through end-retailers, as told by Micromax spokesperson to NDTV Gadgets. Retailer Snapdeal.com shared that it has got fresh stocks and has dispatched 95 percent of all the pre-booked Micromax A116 Canvas HD Smartphones. Furthermore, it plans to clear the remaining backlog by March 26, 2013.

Despite the announcement by Micromax, none of the popular shopping sites such indiatimes.com, homeshop18.com, infibeam.com, flipkart.com, saholic.com or even snapdeal.com are offering this Smartphone for sale online.
