Dell unveils fresh Inspiron models in India


Bangalore: Dell India has come up with two new Dell Inspiron M501R models for the Indian market. Dell Inspiron M501R (T540902IN8) and M501R (T540901IN8) are equipped with MD Vision Ultimate technology that allows users to enjoy a smooth visual experience, claimed the company. Inspiron M501R (T540902IN8) is powered by AMD Phenom II N930 quad-core 2-GHz processor and 4GB DDR3 RAM. It has a 15.6 inch glossy LED-backlit widescreen display and a storage capacity of up to 500GB. It runs on 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. The model comes with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550v (1GB) graphics suit and connectivity options like 100Mbit Ethernet LAN and Wi-Fi. M501R (T540902IN8) is available at 42,900. Inspiron M501R (T540901IN8) is powered by AMD Phenom II triple-core N850 2.2-GHz processor and 3GB DDR3 RAM. It has 15.6 inch LED display, 320 GB hard drive capacity and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550v graphics. It runs on 64-bit Windows 7 Home Basic operating system. The model is available with connectivity options like Ethernet and Wi-Fi at a price of 36,900. One of key points to be noted is that none of the AMD processors in both the Inspiron M501R models support Intel's Hyper Threading technology. The triple-core AMD Phenom II N850 can run only three threads simultaneously, while Intel's Hyper Threading technology can run four threads simultaneously on a dual-core Intel Core i3-370M processor.
