Dell Breaks Into Indian Tablet Market With Venue 8 Pro and Venue 11 Pro


Bangalore: Dell has announced the launch of two Windows 8.1 based tablets, named as Venue 8 Pro, Venue 11 Pro. The cheaper variant, Venue 8 Pro will be available for purchase starting next month for a price of 26,499 however, the manufactures failed to provide a release date for Venue 11 Pro.

Venue 8 Pro features an 8-inch HD IPS display screen at HD resolution of 1280×800 pixels. The tablet runs on a 1.8Ghz Intel Atom Z3740D quad-core SoC processor and includes 2GB of RAM. It comes in two variants of 32GB or 64GB and the prior model supports external memory storage. A 5MP primary camera and a 1.2MP secondary camera can be spotted on Venue 8 Pro which comes in red and black colors. Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 comes default in the model which supports connectivity features offered by the model including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. In addition the manufactures offer a keyboard case for the model for better typing and gaming experience.

Venue 11 Pro includes a full-HD 1920x1080-pixel screen with support for 10-finger simultaneous touch. Clocked at 2.4 GHz the model runs on an Intel Atom processor and comes in 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage depending on the model. The gadget houses an 8MP rear snapper and a 2MP front facing unit. Connectivity features like USB 3.0 host port mini-HDMI video port, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. An attachable keyboard and an additional battery are the freebies offered with the Venue 11 Pro.
