Confirmed: Apple Is Making Cheaper iPhone In Funky Colors

Bangalore: Even though Apple has been denying rumors about a cheaper iPhone, the alleged images of the same, taken from Apple’s manufacturing facility Foxconn in China had apparently hit online.

The leaked images decipher Apple’s plans on making cheaper iPhones in funky colours, a trend set by Nokia with its Lumia series. Adding to the leak from Chinese website weibo, another French website, NoWhereElse has also displayed the images of device’s back panel in green, pink and yellow colors, made up of a glossy material, supposedly polycarbonate.

The camera and flash openings are located at the top left corner following the company’s tradition, with an Apple logo in the middle and iPhone written at the bottom. The reports also points that about 1000 units will be send to field test this month. However, the Cupertino tech giant is yet to give any information on the existence of this project, which is a norm considering the secretiveness of the company.

If the rumors get it right, we can see a cheaper, colorful version of iPhone soon, which would be priced between $300 and $400.
