Can the fanciful Windows Phone 7 attempt save Microsoft?

Seattle: Microsoft can breathe a sigh of relief as Americans did fancy and did go crazy behind the new Windows Phone 7 operating system that got launched in U.S. on November 8th. The launch was supposed to be a new breather for Microsoft, on whom even its CEO Steve Ballmer seems to lose his confidence - a quite visible notion that anyone can derive from his recent share sale. AT&T Colleen Smith although declined to provide the sales figures, quoted that "there definitely was anticipation for the phone as we had lines in some of our markets across the nations." AT&T is encouraged by the early demand of the Americans, she adds. Despite a warm welcome, there are mixed emotions which comprise of more negative notions regarding the phone. The tech-savvy Americans whose enthusiasm was best witnessed during the iPhone, Android launch, have complained seeing messages on the carrier's site saying "the item is not available for immediate shipment." People have also found it difficult to order the 4.3-inch handsets based on Windows 7. The telecommunication provider T-Mobile was pin-pointed for its statement that it was seeing strong interest. AT&T phones promoted phones with two models - from Samsung and HTC selling for $199.99 on a two year contract. Although their staff reported that a long queue awaited to buy the phone, they had no signs of promoting the Windows Phone. Chris Davis states in his article that T- store failed to provide any solid proof of the number of HTC and Windows Phone 7 models separately. Neither AT&T nor the T-store provided the sales figures. People demand different things from the phones they use, whether it calls for a bigger screen to enable reading E mails and office documents, integration with other Microsoft Software. As per a mobile geek, Ryan Kim, Windows Phone 7 based phones are bought only by addicted smartphone users plodding cluelessly. In today's world of Twitter, Facebook, Orkut informations flow continuously, and all the followers are seen to be broadcasting more and more by status updates and comments. People really love their phones and what it offers and for Microsoft to remain in the race, it requires its own legion and force the users to put their phones down.
