BANGALORE: The winners of 19th Annual Global Mobile awards were announced in the show that was conducted at GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Wide range of new Smartphones, tablets and technologies on display has made this award ceremony a blast, reports Android Authority. Below listed are the winners of Mobile World Council 2014 Awards.

Best Wearable - Samsung Gear Fit

Of all the smart gadgets at display, the little wonder, ‘Samsung Gear Fit’ has been nominated as ‘The Best Mobile Device’ at Mobile World Congress 2014. The most highlighting part of the Gear Fit smart watch is its curved Super AMOLED display that can be equipped with a replaceable wrist band. The 1.85 inch curved display can notify messages, calls and emails when connected to Samsung Galaxy Smartphone.  

The gadget runs on Samsung’s Tizen Operating System features apps and functions like heart rate monitor, exercise tracker, and pedometer. What make this Smartwatch differ from other devices is its functions such as real-time fitness coaching, personalized advice and recommendations. The device has been powered with 210mAh battery that offers 3-4 days of typical use. No wonder, Samsung Gear Fit has outsmarted its predecessor Galaxy Gear smart watch.

Best Tablet - Sony Xperia Tablet Z2

Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet was unveiled at MWC, claiming to be the world’s lightest and smallest waterproof tablet. Sony this time has really unveiled a true iPad competitor which in fact is lighter and brighter than the iPad Air. The tablet boasts a 10.1-inch 1920x1080 Triluminos screen with sony’s new Live Color LED technology to produce more bright and uniform light.

The device has been mounted with 2.2 MP front camera and 8.1 MP rear camera. It sports 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB RAM. Xperia Z2 packs 6000mAh battery and it comes with 4G LTE connectivity. Other features of the Tablet include dynamic audio; which can block up to 98 percent of ambient noise, noise cancelling headphones and a Wireless Controller feature to connect with PlayStation 3 for gaming.
