Asus Unveils Ultrabooks, Notebook in India


Bangalore: Asus in association with Intel and Microsoft recently launched two new ultrabooks under S series and one notebook under F series in the Indian market. All the products are powered with Intel’s third generation core processor and come with Windows 7 Home Basic operating system.

Under the S series ultrabook the company launched two products; Asus S56CA-XX030R and the Asus S56CA-XX056R. Both ultrabooks are enabled with integrated optical drive, engineered with third generation Intel Ivy Bridge processor and weighs only 2.4 kilograms. Asus claims that these ultrabooks offers a longer battery life which can stand up to 13 days of standby time.

Both the ultrabooks features 15.6 inch HD LED Backlight Glare display, HD webcam and comes with hybrid storage options which include 24GB of SSD type storage and 500GB/750GB of HHD type storage.

The Asus F501A-XX187R notebook under F series is powered with Intel Core i3 processor and sports 15.6 inch HD Glare display. This device is said to offer longer battery life than the above ultrabooks, the company claims that it will offer up to 14 days of standby time. Other features include 0.3 mega pixel webcam, USB 3.0 and HDMI port.

The Asus S56CA-XX030R and the Asus S56CA-XX056R ultrabooks are priced at 46,999 and 52,999 respectively, while the Asus F501A-XX187R notebook is priced at 35,999.
