Apple's New iPad Air 2 To Feature a Touch ID Sensor

BANGALORE: The Manufacturer of the popular iPhone series, Apple is expected to launch its new next generation iPads this week. But, much before its launch, looks like the Whistle blowers have already revealed what’s behind the curtains for us, as reported by the Tech 2.

Recently, according to a Vietnamese website, the prototype of the new iPad Air or the iPad Air 2 reveals that it will have about 7 mm of thickness shedding out 0.5mm from the iPad Air and may not be the slimmest tablet in the market compared to its rivals. However, the thin design might mean that Apple could give up the mute button on the tab.

On the other hand, another Chinese website also talks about the hardware on the iPad Air 2 that it is expected with a faster A8 X processor on it along with a 2GB of RAM. According to Macrumors, Apple has used the “X” versions of its main chips delivering enhanced graphics on them. The website also reveals that the next iPad Air will feature a Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the home button allowing Apple Pay transactions on it.

Nonetheless, there are no much changes on the design except for the volume buttons which are similar to ones on the iPhone 6 models. With the 9.7-inch iPad Air, the Californian company may launch a larger tablet, which may be the iPad Pro. It is expected to feature a larger, 12.9-inch screen with a resolution similar to the iPad Air.
