Apple to Launch Beats Wireless Earphones with iPhone 7: Report

BENGALURU: New reports suggest that Apple is working with the famous audio products company Beats Electronics to develop wireless earphones, which include a noise-cancellation microphone system, reports NDTV.

Apple is currently developing these wireless earphones that will feature no wires between the left and the right earbuds. However, the report adds that there could be a delay as Apple is concerned about the battery life. The report also suggests that these earphones will be offered as an optional purchase and does not come bundled in the iPhone 7 retail box. The company is working on a new EarPods as well; this new pair of EarPods will connect via the Lightning port instead of the 3.5mm headphone jack. Apple is ditching the 3.5mm headphone port in an attempt to make the next iPhone slimmer by up to 1mm.

As to the reports on the design of the iPhone 7, it is believed that Apple hasn’t finalized the design of the new iPhone 7 and is currently working on three different designs in mind. Out of all the three, one design offers slimmer body, while the second one resembles the iPhone 6s and the latter serves as a backup design. Amid reports, more than 220,000 people have signed a petition that requests Apple to not ditch the standard headphone jack.
