Apple Rumored to Unveil iWatch Soon

BANGALORE: Apple has been rumored by mainstream publications, rumor websites, and analysts to be working on its iWatch, a computerized smart watch, directed towards expanding its family of mobile devices to the wrist.

“I think wearable is incredibly interesting. It could be a profound area,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook. “It’s an area that’s ripe for exploration, its right for us to get excited about. Lots of companies will play in this space.”

He further hinted, “There will be new categories, however, we’re not ready to talk about it, but we’re working on some really great stuff.”

A Journal said production of the Apple smart watch is expected to begin at Quanta Computer Inc., a Taiwanese company that has worked on Apple's Mac computers. Besides, there has been trademark applications filed in a number of countries across the world and accordingly have decided to call the device, the iWatch.. There seems persistent speculation that iWatch is expect launch in the near future.

Although not much information has been leaked, an analyst at the CIMB Group predicted that the iWatch may cost between $149 - $229, which would equate to around £88 - £135 in GBP, which seems quite low for an Apple product, reports trusted reviews.

The specification and features outlined in the device are purely based on the leaked information yet these rumors have added to a great deal of sensitivity.
