Well, here are the top 8 features compiled by Sayan Sarkar from Gizbot.com, expected to see in Android N:

1. The Quick Notification:

The guys at Android Police have succeeded to get their hands on an early build of Android N and well, they have come up with a mock-up of what they have spotted. The notifications shade of the Android N now comes with a full-width notification separated by extremely thin lines. This is quite contrasting with the one seen in the present version of Android.

According to genuine news from the Android Police, who spotted an early build of Android N, The notifications shade of the Android N now comes with a full-width notification separated by extremely thin lines. This is quite contrasting with the one seen in the present version of Android.

2. Improved Quick Settings:

The Quick Settings option now sits on top of the notification shade. The icons are now larger now so that they can be accessed easily.

3. Multi-Window:

An added multi-window feature is expected in Google’s next Android build. While the multi-window feature has been added on to the Android interface by smartphone makers in their custom UIs, the stock Android had always missed out on it. After having missed out on the multi-window feature in the Android Marshmallow built, the Search Engine giant is expected to make amends and introduce it in the Android N.

4.Theme Engine:

A Having always been the USP of the CyanogenMod OS is the theme engine, a baked up version of stock Android. Considering the fact that Google took inspiration from various popular custom UIs including Cyanogen for the Android M, it won't be a surprise to them to include a Theme Engine. So far it is speculated that a Dark Theme for the user interface is on cards.

5. Feature rich Power Menu:

Long press the Power Button on Android Marshmallow and a standard Power-Off and Reboot button is encountered. However, a few popular custom builds of Android provides users a multitude of feature on the Power Menu itself (menu display on long pressing the power button) including the option to take the screenshot, enter recovery, enter boot loader etc.

6. Notification LED control:

Unlike some Android builds, such as the much popular MIUI 7 from the Chinese OEM Xiaomi come with an option to control the colour of LED notifications via the Settings Panel, the stock Android doesn't. It would be interesting to see Google include this option in Android N.

7. Double Tap to Wake:

At their Developer I/O, while launching the Android Marshmallow, this feature too was showcased. Incidentally, though the option to wake a device by simply double tapping it failed to make a cut in the final built. Well, Google might be already working on it to include in the Android N.

8. Separate Lock Screen Wallpaper:

Apart from a Nexus or a Motorola device till date, fact that stock Android still doesn't provide you an option to set two different wallpapers - one for Home screen and another for Lock screen.
This may sound quite amusing considering the fact that dual wallpaper option was present even in our features phones! In most cases Google will introduce the feature in the Android N.
