Alcatel Launches The Slimmest Android Phone For 21,000


Bangalore: TCL Communications, the company that makes and markets the Alcatel brand of mobiles has launched two mid-range Smartphones— Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra and Alcatel One Touch Idol; dubbed as the slimmest and lightest android mobiles respectively. Idol Ultra is priced at 21,000 and Idol at 15,800.

Idol Ultra was unveiled at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show in January this year. At 6.45mm thick, it is dubbed as slimmest Android mobile in the country. The device sports a 4.7 inch 720x1280 pixels AMOLED touch screen with 16 million colors, which could give a good HD experience. The screen comes with oleophobic coating that keeps dust and fingerprints off the display. Under the hood, it packs a 1.2GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.1 Jellybean platform. It has a 16GB internal memory, and has no card slot for further expansion. The phone is equipped with 1,800mAh battery that as company claims, delivers up to 12 hours of talktime, and 400 hours of standby time.
