Acer Tab A110: Quad-Core, Android 4.0 Budget Tablet


Bangalore: At Computex Taipei, Acer has launched a new affordable yet powerful tablet-Tab A110. The tablet is engineered with the high-performing quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 1.2GHz processor and runs on the latest Android 4.0 operating system. The device is expected to reach markets in the third quarter of 2012 with a price tag of around 12,000 (a rough conversion of $200).

Acer Tab A110 sports a 7-inch screen with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution, 1GB of RAM, 8 GB of inbuilt storage, microSD card slot to expand the memory up to 32 GB, front-facing camera, USB port, 3G connectivity and a HDMI port with dual-display support.

This new tablet gives value for money with its Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and multitasking processor. The device is about 11.4mm thick and comes with a plain gray matte back and a black front. Along with Tab A110, the company has also revealed a 10.1-inch tablet named Iconia Tab A210 which is going to be the costlier version of A110.
