But Acer has decided to change this thought and they have launched their Aspire V5 series. With these series Acer plans on merging the design of an ultrabook with a budget price tag. 

In the first glance Aspire V5 is a very good looking laptop and can actually compete with some top of the line laptops in the field of looks and feels.

Specifications:

The 14-inch laptop is powered by a Sandy Bridge Intel Pentium 987 processor and comes with a 2GB of RAM. The laptop also has a 500 GB hard drive memory.  The processor that Aspire runs on is among the lower ones thus only consumes half of the power than a 2330M or a 2350M processor. V5 comes with an integrated Intel HD graphics card.  It runs on Windows 7 Home Basic operating system. Since the laptop is only 14-inch the numpad has been left out of the design.

If you are looking at owning a lightweight, portable laptop for both office and home work, surfing the internet and entertainment like watching movies, listening to music, then V5-431 would be a good buy. Though the market price is 29,416 there are many online portals that are offering it for 27,000.
