5 Flagship Windows Phone 8 Smartphones

Bangalore: With the date for the release of Windows Phone 8 coming close all the major players in the smartphone markets have started unveiling and showcasing their smartphone that would run on this operating system.

The top three smartphone manufactures Samsung, Nokia, and HTC in order to compete with each other, unveiled their smartphones on quick succession one after the other.

At the recently concluded IFA 2012, held at Berlin Germany, Samsung made history yet again by being the company to unveil the world’s first Windows Phone 8 Smartphone. They have decided to call this device ATIV S. The phone comes with a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display. Samsung is indeed pushing the limits when it comes to designing smartphones with gigantic screens. The screen comes with a strong Gorilla Glass II protective colour.

This smartphone will be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor which is backed by 1 GB of RAM. The phone comes with an 8 mega pixel rear camera and a 1.9 mega pixel front facing camera that would allow the users to make video calls.

ATIV S comes in two memory variants; 16 GB and 32 GB along with a slot for the microSD card. The device looks good and very thin having a thickness of just 8.7mm.
