3. GPU is the Retina:
There is lot of versatility and variety when the manufacturer wants to pick up a graphic processor for their device. Devices with Retina Display and more than 820p resolution are crowding the market, and that increases the work load on GPUs. Google’s new operating system Android 4.0 highly depends on GPU to deliver a smooth interface and graphical functionalities.
GPU also comes with many cores; the new quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 has 12 cores GPU in it. These multi-cores actually help the processor to distribute the task and let the CPU free.
