Bangalore: HTC has confirmed that sixteen of its Android smartphones will taste Android Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) in the coming months. The company has stated in a blog post that it has already released the upgradation for HTC Sensation and HTC Sensation XE in selected countries. HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XL will the nest models to get the update.
In the Indian market the company’s model which will be getting the Android 4.0 update will be HTC Sensation, Sensation XE, Sensation XL, Desire S, Desire HD, Evo 3D, Incredible S and Rhyme. Android 4.0 will add-up new features like better UI, enhanced performance, face unlock and better browsing experience for all these high-end devices.
HTC will be rolling-out these update over-the-air, the users will be getting a notification to download and install these update on their devices. Company recommends the users to use Wi-Fi networks while downloading these update to avoid data charges. Till now HTC has not revealed the device specific update roll-out time, but the details will be announced soon
Other HTC smartphones getting the update are; HTC DROID Incredible 2, HTC Amaze 4G, HTC EVO Design 4G, HTC Sensation 4G, HTC Raider, HTC Rezound, HTC Thunderbolt and HTC Vivid.
