Bangalore: Smartphone manufacturers are churning out devices in all possible hardware combinations to lure customers. However, when it comes to performance, quad-core processors are the champions. Even though high end devices like Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One exploit the power of octa-core processors, affordability is an issue.

But luckily, there are large numbers of good performing quad-core Smartphones available in the Indian market at affordable prices. So if you are looking for a device which runs your multiple tasks smoothly, here is a good compilation.

#10 Videocon A55HD
Processor: 1.2 GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6589T
Price: 13,490

Videocon’s 5 inch Smartphone A55HD comes with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. The display is based on One Glass Solution (OGS), which will provide good viewing angles and sunlight visibility. The phone has one of the sturdiest build quality in this range.

The quad-core chipset in this phone will support upto 42 Mbps speeds in 3G. The device has 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal memory. The 8 megapixel primary camera at rear and the 3.2 megapixel camera in the front assist the photographic needs. Connectivity options of this phone include 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, along with GPS/A-GPS. The device takes power from a 2000 mAh battery.

3: The Xolo Q800 started as a good model but they downgraded the processor to MT6589M a couple of months after its introduction. This has put off many potential buyers. Some of the other models in the list suffer from lower screen resolution.

You should have included the Gionee Elife E3 phone in this list. It has superior features and is avaialble for less than Rs.15,000 on some online portals and also in retail outlets.
