Best Windows Phone Launch in August 2013

Bangalore: Huawei which is a Chinese major tech firm seems to be having bigger plans for the Indian market. They have launched a series of Android handsets and now they are planning to launch a windows phone handset in India. The phone could cost Rs10000 in the Indian scenario. Here is a report by Anuj Bhatia of GIZBOT.

In an official launch event, Victor Shan, President, India Device Business Department told GizBot that the company could announce an affordable Windows Phone (most probably, WP8) running handset in the Indian market by August 2013. The head official also revealed the cost of the Windows Phone approximately at 10,000.

Shan did not disclose the internal specifications or the name of the handset due to certain genuine reasons.

But possibilities are that Huawei might launch Ascend W1 in India, which was announced earlier this year at CES 2013. In an interview to GIZBOT, Victor Shan also revealed that the new phone would certainly be better than the W1.

Huawei Ascend W1 which debuted as a Windows Phone 8 device had a 4-inch WVGA 800×480 IPS display, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 512MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera, 4GB of storage onboard, and a microSD slot, HSPA+ and 1,950mAh Li-Po battery.

Going by the current market scenarios, everyday more than 1 million Android devices are activated around the world. Google's Android OS is one among the most preferred choices for device makers as well for consumers. It is better with its eco-system and most importantly it's open. But Microsoft Windows Phone 8 has slowly started causing ripples in the wave.
