4. Sophia Loren

Sophia Loren is an Italian actress from the talkie era, who won an academy award for her performance in Vittorio De Sica's ‘Two Women’. Her contribution to the Italian film industry was recognized by Grammy Award, BAFTA Award and a Laurel Award. She received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievements in 1995, which was one of its kinds.

Sophia Loren was also sent to jail in 1982 for producing wrong information in her tax returns in 1970.

"I'm very worried about the time I will have to spend in jail,” Loren told reporters at Rome in 1982. She requested President Sandro Pertini, to excuse her for submitting the wrong report which was committed by her accountant.

Sophia Loren spent 17 days in the prison and from then, she has no public tax troubles.
