Sensex Sheds 14 Points in Early Trade


MUMBAI: A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Friday was trading 13.82 points or 0.06 percent down during the morning session.

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 19.05 points or 0.27 percent down at 6,957.30 points.

The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 23,060.39 points, was trading at 22,938.01 points (at 9.23 a.m.) in the early session, down 13.82 points or 0.06 percent from the previous day's close at 22,951.83 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 23,116.27 points and a low of 22,927.03 points in the trade so far.
