Sensex Gains 110 Points in Early Trade


MUMBAI: A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Thursday was trading 110.39 points or 0.43 percent higher during the morning session.

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 39.85 points or 0.50 percent higher at 7,974.75 points.

The Sensex of the BSE, which opened atA26,008.25 points was trading at 25,991.56 points (at 9.16 a.m.) in the early session, up 110.39 points, or 0.43 percent from the previous day's close at 25,881.17 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 26,068.61 points and a low of 25,998.91 points in the trade so far.
