Reliance Infrastructure Net Up 62 Percent In Q4


MUMBAI: Reliance Infrastructure Ltd on Saturday reported net profit of 729 crore for fourth quarter of 2015-16, registering 62 percent growth from 450 crore in like period year ago on standalone basis.

Total income for quarter under review, however, grew marginally 3.5 percent to 3,291 crore from 3,180 crore in same period year ago on standalone basis.

For fiscal 2016, net profit increased to 1,986 crore, posting an increase of 29.5 percent from 1,533 crore in fiscal 2014-15 (on standalone basis.

Total income for fiscal under review grew marginally (2.6 percent) to 12,406 crore from 12,098 crore in FY 2015.

According to the company's regulatory filing to the BSE, results for the quarter include net profit and income of its two subsidiaries - Western Region Transmission (Maharashtra) Ltd and Western Region Transmission Gujarat Ltd, which were amalgamated from April 1, 2014 and effect of which were given in the quarter ended March 31, 2015.

"Hence, figures for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 are not comparable to those of quarter ended March 31, 2015," the company said in the filing.

On consolidated basis, the company's net profit increased 44 percent to 660 crore for fourth quarter from 459 crore in like period year ago.

Total income for quarter under review, however, declined marginally (0.62) to 4,975 crore from 5,006 crore in same period year ago on consolidated basis.

For fiscal 2016, consolidated net profit increased 9.7 percent to 1,975 crore from 1,800 crore in fiscal 2015.

Consolidated income for fiscal under review (FY 2016), however, was flat at 18,976 crore as against 18,813 crore in FY 2015.
