New Denominations of Indian Currency Is Strictly Unique

BENGALURU: A few days ago, the Indian government announced new denominations for 500 and 2000 in order to curb black money menace, followed by the trashing of old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 bank notes. Already being called as "high security" notes, these will be issued Friday onwards, as per RBI guidelines. The notes can be withdrawn from ATMs around the country and to be closely monitored by RBI.

Let’s catch the features that are hard to copy/fake for anyone:

Design- The color of the note for 2,000 is magenta and India’s motif of the Mangalayan is reflected on the back side of the note, India's Mars mission.

Hi-tech features- As told by the RBI, several features have been incorporated; see-through register in denominational numeral 2,000 can be seen while holding the note up against the light.

Also, when the new note is held at a 45-degree angle at the eye level, one can see a latent image with the denominational numeral 2,000.

Other specs- The note will have a color-shifting windowed security thread with the inscription 'HHHH', RBI and 2,000. Thread’s color will change from green to blue when the note is slightly tilted.

For the convenience of recognition of notes by visually-impaired people, there is a raised print of Mahatma Gandhi's portrait, the Ashoka Pillar emblem, and bleed lines as identity marks.
