Key Indian Equity Indices Trade Higher During Early Session


MUMBAI: Key Indian equity market indices opened in the green on Friday on the back of India's annual retail inflation easing to 4.31 pct for September from 5.05 pct in August.

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) was trading 69.11 points or 0.25 pct higher during the early session.

The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 13.90 points or 0.16 pct higher at 8,587.25 points.

The BSE Sensex, which opened at 27,712.22 points, was trading at 27,712.22 points (at 9.16 a.m.) in the early session, higher 69.11 points or 0.25 pct from the previous day's close at 27,643.11 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 27,712.22 points and a low of 27,712.22 points in the trade so far.
