India Foils ascends by 34 percent on relisting
Bangalore: India Foils (IFL) share surged 34.44 percent following its relisting on the Indian bourses after the reduction of its share capital. The stock had got suspended on September 19, 2008. After relisting, the stock ended the day at Rs 17.41 gaining by Rs 4.46 after opening at Rs 16.15, the stock had previously closed at Rs 12.95. During the day, the stock hit an intraday high of Rs 23.95 and dipped to a low of Rs 16.15 with 10,726,093 shares being traded through the day. It had hit a 52-week high of Rs 30.05 on January 10, 2008 and a 52-week low of Rs10.31 on October 22, 2007. IFL is one of the largest producers of aluminium foil in Asia. Every foil specification used in packaging in India has been developed by IFL. In the financial year 2007-08 company achieved a turnover of 192.66 crores as compared to 236.93 crores in the previous fiscal year.
