Total Assets Under Management: $120 Billion

Dalio is the founder of Bridgewater Associates, an American investment management company. Bridgewater is the biggest hedge fund company in the world. Bridgewater has made about $50 billion since its inception in 1975. Dalio ranks 1st on this list and he received a total pay-cheque amount of $3.9 billion in 2011. In the last 2 years, Dalio has earned a total of $7 billion dollars. According to research reports, the company is vouching on gold this year. This is so because many countries are inflating their money supply in order to reduce their debt. The firm is seeking to strengthen its position in terms of currencies of emerging nations. It is also looking into high-quality government bond markets for diversifying.
