HSBC Small Cap Fund tops MFs last week


Bangalore: HSBC Small Cap Fund led the mutual fund schemes last week with a growth rate of 6.4965 percent. As on April 8, the net asset value (NAV) of the scheme was 11.8062. HSBC Small Cap Fund is a Growth Scheme with a primary investment objective to provide long-term capital appreciation primarily from a diversified portfolio of equity and equity related instuments of small cap companies. According to mutualfundsindia.com, other mutual funds which followed HSBC Small Cap Fund are HSBC Midcap Equity Fund - Growth, Sundaram Media & Entert Opp Fund - Inst - Growth, Sundaram Media & Entert Opportunities Fund - Retails - Growth and DSP BlackRock Micro Cap Fund - Regular - Growth with growth rates of 6.442, 5.5966, 5.5775 and 4.7033 respectively. As on Mar 31, 2011, the fund size of the HSBC Small Cap Fund was 34.6 crore. Dhimant Shah and Dhiraj Sachdev are the Fund Manager of the scheme.
