General Public is often warned of account or card deactivation, which they refuse to divulge their card or account-related sensitive information. Fake Checks:

These schemes falls under many disguises such as-Bogus cheque can be used to pay for something that you're selling, such as a used car or any other objects. There can be incidents, when someone might contact you about a "work at home" opportunity or sweepstakes that you supposedly won according to them. He or she might use a fake cheque to pay you, with instructions to deposit it and then wire a portion of the proceeds to another party, perhaps to pay "required" fees or taxes.

In many cases, these scams involve what appears to be certified or bank checks, but there’s no guarantee of being legitimate.

Disguising as IRDAI:

Policy holders are scammed by fraudsters as they were told that for resolving their grievance and releasing the due compensation, they would have to complete formalities that included payment of fee. Scamsters would also call up policyholders to 'inform' about the money that had been fraudulently transferred and they had to make some payment as part of the procedure to get their money back which was to be believed as the truth by the general public.
