Changing Times: Banks Wooing Women with Gracious Loans and Offers


BANGALORE: Women are strongly making an impact on various fields and are surging ahead. This improvement in the power graph is letting banks come forward to cater to the financial needs of women owing to their necessities. The areas are varied and so are the bank's offers. Giving out loans on attractive rates to women customers is the trend to be seen. Be it home loans, startup loans, financial help loans or vehicle loans; banks are ready to woo women over their exciting low rates tailored-made for them.

Tata Capital Housing Finance is offering a lower interest rate of 10.15 percent to women home loan buyers for loan up to 40 Lakhs. While for others the finance company would charge 10.50 percent. Recently on the occasion of International Women's Day,

Tata Motors joined hands with Bhartiya Mahila Bank, country's first all women national commercial Bank for financing its passenger vehicle customers. With this, they would be able to reach out to the growing women customer base of the bank. The loans are available at all branches of BMB at 10.5 percent for all women customers. For instance Andhra Bank has a loan scheme named, 'AB Vanitha Vahan', which is exclusively for salaried women in process of buying a vehicle.

Apart from these known areas for loans, Bhartiya Mahila Bank on its first day of functioning, introduced "Kitchen Loans" a specially designed loan for women prior to the fact that most women in India spend their time in kitchen or they are more into renovating their kitchen space. This loan comes with an assurance of higher interest rate on savings bank accounts. The other most important thing, BMB launched education loans up to 10 lakhs with no processing charges, only for girls.
